Honda Freed for Sale in Bangladesh

In 2008, the Japanese automaker Honda introduced the mini MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) named Honda Freed. It is based on the popular first generation Honda Jazz/Fit platform, shares several visible and under the skin components. It came out to the global market as a replacement for the Honda Mobilio. It comes in three different forms based on its seating arrangements like the eight-seat version, the seven-seater format, and a five-seat version. In 2011, Honda brought out the hybrid Honda Freed.

Honda Freed Review

Honda Freed engine spec

Freed is equipped with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine from the Jazz VTi. Its mild maximum output is 118 horsepower of power at 6600 revs and 146Nm of torque at 4800rpm. This 1497cc engine is coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission mounted on the dashboard as in the Honda CR-V. As the Freed follows the Fit and the Fit Shuttle for engine specification, it attempts a strike at being a fuel-efficient MPV. It can reach 0 to 100 kilometer per hour in 13.9 seconds and allows a top speed of 170 kilometers per hour. As a minivan, it provides decent fuel consumption of 8.4 liters per 100 kilometers or 11.9 kilometers per liter, combined of urban and highway condition.

Honda Freed exterior design

Anyone can spot the resemblance between the Honda Freed and Honda Fit. It brings in the new Honda DNA with changes that reflect the sweeping curves of CR-Z to improve aerodynamics. Honda Freed can be immediately recognized by its wide mouth, bug eyes, and a massive rear tailgate spoiler that extends from the roof to the bottom of the car to provide a huge practical loading area with a low knee-high cargo floor. Though the tailgate is huge, it is not heavy and can be lifted no higher than people’s reach to pull it back down.

Honda Freed interior design

Honda Freed’s cabin has an airy feeling and opens with a sense of space, like many Honda models. It offers plenty of headroom though the legroom can be deceptively shy. The dashboard and doors sills have very fit though they are made of hard plastics. The seat packaging and strategically well-placed compartment are very clever as expected from any Honda car. Nonetheless, due to the sliding doors, there is no outside armrest in the second row.

Honda Freed features

A stand Honda Freed model (2013 and onward) comes with all regular features like power steering, air conditioning, power windows and multi-function steering wheels. Additional driving aids available on all models are ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Advanced Engineering Compatibility (ACE) and traction control. For convenience, it has power door locks and keyless entry. It also uses a servo braking system that charges the batteries while breaking.

Why should you buy Honda Freed?

The Honda Freed is a more economical and relatively sleek machine for a people mover with high fuel efficiency. Design wise, it is better-looking and modern than other mini MVPS. It provides ample practical space for up to seven adults to travel in comfort with a large space in the cavernous luggage area. It is perfect for a family, both for the school and office duty, and for trips out of the city. Other MVPs in this section that can be an alternative to Honda Freed are Toyota Wish and Toyota Avanza. Honda Freed is the car of your choice for it’s:

  • Big cargo Space
  • Sleek exterior
  • Modest interior
  • Fuel efficiency
